the moment I replaced "I" with "WE", my life transformed. As Stephen Covey once said, "Interdependence is a choice only independent people can make.", I got to learn first hand that interdependence is a realm reserved for the truly independent.

I don't know about you, but I often found myself believing that if I wanted something done well, I had to do it myself. I held true the belief that I had to be independent my whole life. Over the time, I eventually came to realize how mistaken I was in this belief. I discovered what the collective mind really means. The strength of that unity is unparalleled.

Nature provides us with this valuable lesson, as our ancestors laid the foundation of becoming the rulers of our world by not standing alone. Their success stemmed from the understanding that together, they can achieve greatness. Sadly, in our modern times, I notice more and more isolation and defensiveness making its way in our lives.

If you closely observe children, you'll notice their innate ability to listen to their bodies and recognize when a challenge exceeds their capabilities. In those moments, they seek help and work together towards a common goal. As adults, we seem to lose this humility. Admitting weakness or failure is often seen as flaw, and we instead adopt a bravado mentality, to our demise.

What makes us inclined toward this facade?
